Piper Biographies

I’ve been extolling the worth of John Piper’s biographies to several friends and family members.  However, some of you have had a hard time finding them.  Here is a link to make it easier:

http://www.desiringgod.org/ResourceLibrary/Biographies/

There you can find text, audio, and sometimes video versions of these biographies.  I recommend starting with the audio.

And to make it even easier, here are a few of my favorites:

John Paton: Missionary to the New Hebrides

I have been moved and encouraged by both the George Mueller sermon and the John Paton one. What men of great faith and great intellect. Their understanding of the workings of grace encourage me to seek deeper the truths grace holds. Hearing how God has used men in the past challenges to strive to enjoy God’s providence more daily. Thank you for pointing towards these sermons. I will meditate on the John Bunyan sermon today!

Hi Mike: Thanks for church address, will contact my friends in SLO about you. They are great fans of the “Good Shepherd Painting” (mine) and interesting, stimulating people. Let’s see if they give your church a try.
